Product Introduction

phenol is an organic compound, chemical formula C6H5OH, is a colorless needle-like crystal with a special odor and burning smell, toxic. Melting point 43 ℃, slightly soluble in water at room temperature, soluble in organic solvents; when the temperature is higher than 65 ℃, it can be miscible with water in any proportion. Phenol is corrosive and will denature local proteins upon contact, and its solution can be washed with alcohol on the skin. A small amount of phenol exposed to air is oxidized by oxygen to quinone, which appears pink. This method is usually used for the detection of phenol when the iron ion turns purple.

Pesticide Production: Phenol is an important raw material for pesticide production. It can produce insecticides such as Carbofuran, Quick-kill Thion, Vegetable and Fruit Phosphorus, Fungicide Prochloraz, Triadimefon, Difenoconazole, Herbicides 2,4-Drops, 2,4-Drops Butyl, Rodenticide Phosphorus, Bromide, etc.
Disinfectants and antiseptics: A dilute aqueous solution of phenol can be used directly as an antiseptic and disinfectant for the treatment of surgical instruments and excreta, skin sterilization, itching and otitis media.
Synthetic fragrances and dyes: Phenol is also a raw material for synthetic fragrances and certain types of dyes.
Petroleum product additives: Phenol-derived alkylphenols can be used as antioxidants, non-ionic surfactants, plasticizers and other petroleum product additives.
